Befriend Feelings and Be With

Befriending feelings is like being with your feelings the way you would be with a good friend. Befriending means welcoming all feelings with non-judgmental awareness.

How to do it

  1. Notice what you are feeling.
  2. Imagine you are sitting on a porch swing with that feeling.
  3. Imagine welcoming that feeling with your arm around it while you swing gently.
  4. Notice the sensations in your body and what you are feeling now.
