Making a pleasant hmmm sound through an entire out breath opens up the felt experience of curiosity and calms the critical brain. Using a hmmm sound gives a richer experience of wonder and curiosity.

How to do it

  1. Take three relaxed and connected belly breaths by expanding your belly on the in breath and tightening your belly muscles slightly on your out breath.
  2. On your next outbreath create a pleasant hmmm sound.
  3. Experiment with different pitches and intensity  of hmmm on your out breaths.
  4. You can bring to mind an issue or potential or create a wonder question with your hmmm.
