Connect
Give Attention to Where Others’ Body/Breath is Open
While interacting with someone, you can notice their breathing, posture and/or gestures to invite a deeper connection through resonance.
How to do it
- Let your body be a receiver, e.g., a drum head or instrument that echoes the speaker’s presence.
- Turn your attention to the person you are interacting with and notice a body posture or their breathing.
- Get curious about where openness is radiating in them.
- Switch to noticing your body awareness and open spaces, then theirs, for a moment or throughout the conversation.
Benefits
- Expands awareness of others’ body expressions
- Increases connection and possibility
- Fosters new insights and creative leaps
