Katie Hendricks Documentary Coming Soon!
This is the fundraising campaign for a new and exciting project in the making that we want you to know about: a feature documentary about Katie Hendricks. This film is NOT produced by the Foundation for Conscious Living or the Hendricks Institute, but by independent production company Being With A Camera LLC that was founded by Big Leap coaches, Darlene Bellis, Sibylle Meder and Elaine Ocasio. We are thrilled to share an exciting project with you:
A feature documentary celebrating the life and work of Dr. Kathlyn (Katie) Hendricks—a pioneer in conscious living, body intelligence, and relationship transformation.
For decades, Katie has inspired thousands with her playful wisdom and groundbreaking tools for love and presence. Now, with your support, we have the chance to bring her story to the screen—so it can continue to touch hearts and awaken lives for generations to come.
Big Leap coach and film director Sibylle Meder and fellow Big Leap coaches and experienced TV and documentary producers Darlene Bellis and Elaine Ocasio have teamed up to found the film production company Being With A Camera LLC that will produce the upcoming feature documentary tentatively titled “Kathlyn Hendricks Cultivating Humanity“.
The film invites viewers to explore Katie’s teachings, and recounts the life events that inspired the practices of Body Intelligence and Conscious Loving and Living. Audiences get to hear from Katie herself and from partners, friends, collaborators around the world, among them of course Gay Hendricks and many other luminaries in the field, about the scope and reach of Katie’s work and her commitment to creating life as a work of art.
Director Sibylle Meder’s documentaries explore the depth of human experience with compassion and artistry. We intend to produce a film that celebrates Katie and the way in which she has brought so much joy and insight to so many. With Sibylle’s vision and sensitivity, Katie’s story will be told in a way that reflects the creativity, authenticity, and aliveness at the core of her work.

This project is truly independent, initiated from within the Hendricks community and co-created with Katie every step of the way. We work independent of any TV channel or streaming service, which means that Katie’s story can be told in a way that honors and reflects the person who lives it. It also means that we have to source our funding independently…
… and this is where you come in:
The grand total of our budget is $345,000 which will cover costs for crew fees, equipment, travel and transport for filming over several months on two continents, in four countries and approximately 15 locations, post production costs, legal and archival fees and distribution costs.
The members of Being With A Camera LLC (Darlene, Elaine and Sibylle) have already invested $20,000 of their own (and about 300 hours of their time) into the documentary which we trust will be a beautiful tribute to a beloved teacher, mentor and friend, and we are looking forward to sharing it with the world and receiving the support of those who believe in the film as much as we do.
Another $15,000 have been pledged to us by private donors.
We need about $115,000 to start filming.

COMING SOON: We have been invited to apply for fiscal sponsorship from The Film Collaborative and our application is currently under review. This means that for any amount you donate through our fiscal sponsor The Film Collaborative in the future, you will be able to receive a tax receipt for the IRS. (Coming soon)
