Authenticity Must be Practiced
A recent interview with Dr. Brene Brown featured in Origin Magazine and reprinted in The Huffington Post explored the role practice plays in living an authentic, vulnerable, and conscious life.
Brown talks about the importance of connection to other likeminded people as a prerequisite for living a full life, as well as how important it is to trust yourself, your body and your daily needs over the easier, more well-known choice of doing what we feel is expected of us.
She offers a great reminder that authenticity is a choice and one that sometimes needs to be made multiple times in a day – even multiple times in an hour. As Brown explains it, everyone has the capacity to be authentic, but the authentic ones are those who practice very hard and step into the arena to be seen, despite the potential for failure.
Authenticity Must Be Practiced.
